The Federal bass combines modern playability with the looks and coolness of 50s rock’n’roll. Created as a signature model for Budge Magraw of The Cesarians who wanted a large bodied bass but with the playability of the Violin Bass. It features a deep 5” (12.cm) body with arched spruce top and maple back and sides gives that authentic Höfner growl. Finished in stunning Hi-Gloss black.
Short scale maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays and vintage style tuners add to the 50s vibe. Two Höfner ‘Toaster’ pickups with volume and tone controls. Raven black finish. Includes case.
